The radio frequency used by Bluetooth is unlicensed. This means that many other devices are able to use the same frequency such as microwaves, baby monitors, game controllers, and a host of other household items.

Any of these items could in theory cause interference when your computer is trying to use Bluetooth for talk to the web for example.
