The advantages of Bluetooth Technology are obvious. The ability to access the Internet from anywhere in the world without having to “plug in” is a definite plus. Bluetooth as a set standard for talking to other devices, unlike cables, which tend to vary from system to system connecting two devices over Bluetooth is a breeze.

Unlike infrared, which needs to be lined up with the device to work, Bluetooth will work with as much as 10 feet between the device and the wireless connection. In addition, the items do not need to be facing each other to work.

Bluetooth is obviously the wave of the future, and hopefully soon we will not be tied down to our computers by cumbersome cables and cords.
